News What's New at Cirrus? Cirrus deploys new dual tube, direct-push tooling for our environmental sampling rigWith our new dual tube sampling equipment, Cirrus can collect undisturbed soil cores from specific interval depths, while preventing cross-contamination between different strata and open hole sloughing typically. By owning and operating our own we can collect better quality data in a shorter period of time. For more information contact us at info@cirrusenviro.com or 403 291-6442.
Cirrus owns and operates its own environmental sampling rigIn order to reduce client wait times and combat the rising cost of hiring an environmental driller, Cirrus has purchased its own environmental sampling rig. This sate of the art piece of equipment, built by AMS, is capable of drilling to depths of over 60’ and can operate with traditional solid-stem augers or employ direct push tolling for continuous undisturbed samples. With Rubber tracks and a low mast height this rig can navigate difficult terrain and building interiors with a low ceiling height. Cirrus implements its own corporate responsibility program to minimize its environmental footprintCirrus provides sustainability services to a variety of organizations both public and private. In this capacity we help evaluate, develop and drive a wide-variety of sustainability initiatives including triple bottom line reporting and auditing; however, we also realized that we could do more to decrease our own environmental foot-print. Lead by one of our Project Managers, Adam Mabbott BSC, P.Chem, we initiated the Cirrus CR program in 2006 and began searching for ways to improve our own environmental performance. We have moved forward on a number of initiatives that range from sample waste reduction and recycling to operating different more fuel efficient vehicles. We will periodically provide updates on this web-site with regards to our progress, so keep watching! For more information contact us at info@cirrusenviro.com or 403 291-6442.
Cirrus develops and deploys new web-delivered emergency response planning toolCirrus, in partnership with ESM Canada, have created and deployed a web-delivered ERP tool that allows a user to view a detailed site plan and aerial photograph of one or more sites including: all assets, infrastructure (aboveground and underground), ingress/egress points, roadways, neighboring properties, sensitive areas, potential hazards and other pertinent information. In addition, it allows a user to update and manage, in a secure and confidential environment, critical information about neighboring properties, permanent and temporary residents, individuals with special needs, emergency responders and much more.
